Elko 100 – Elko, NV

Elko, Nevada, is a small town with a burgeoning art scene. To get ready for Elko’s 100th birthday, the Elko Arts and Culture Advisory Board launched a city wide “Elko 100” art project to celebrate the heritage, culture, and artists of their community.

In spring of 2017, the advisory board contacted Icon Poly to create 6 foot tall, 110 pound cowboy boots made out of durable polyurethane resin. Local businesses then sponsored artists to paint the resin cowboy boots and displayed them around the town. To date, you can find 36 beautifully painted fiberglass cowboy boots throughout Elko.
