Monumental Sculptures
The term monumental sculpture is often used to describe life-size props and displays, but it can also be used to refer to smaller sculptures that are made to represent a specific site, place, or area and may not necessarily be large. After all, large is relative to the surroundings. Many times custom monuments are made of bronze, concrete, or stone but can also be made of steel or aluminum and can even be fiberglass or resin art sculpture. Since we at Icon Poly specialize in resins, when we get a chance to make life-sized art sculptures, they almost always consist of an exterior skin of glass-reinforced resins over an interior metal structure.
