DESCRIPTION
The first five Great Blue Herons of Texas are now proudly on display throughout the City of Dickinson. Seeded by the City’s HOT Tax and coordinated by the Dickinson Art Guild, this community partnership has been a great success. Each Great Blue Heron sculpture represents a charitable component through a donation to the preservation of the bayou, funding for future arts programs in the City, and the general welfare of the City.
The Great Blue Heron statues are to be placed in front of businesses and bayou-front homes in the City to create a scavenger hunt much like you see in cities across Texas.
