DESCRIPTION

In July 2017, Buffalo, Wyoming, hosted the North American Basque Festival where they celebrated traditional Basque culture and history, and honored their heritage as sheepherders and cattle ranchers.

As a part of the events, the Bread of Life food pantry worked with Icon Poly to create 25 polyurethane resin model Basque sheep wagon stoves with actual hinged front doors. They found local artists to paint the antique replica stoves, and then auctioned them off as a fundraiser for those in need in their community. The Episcopal Diocese of Wyoming matched the donations, and a total of $62,000 was raised to help feed the hungry.
