DESCRIPTION
The CT SUB TRAIL, sponsored by the CT SUB CENTURY COMMITTEE, is a public art event that will showcase a fleet of fiberglass submarine sculptures designed and created by regional artists, groups of artists, or other creative citizens. Each sculpture will receive factory-applied primer and be transformed into a vibrant work of submarine art! These fiberglass submarines will be on public display at various events during the CT SUB TRAIL exhibit throughout Southeastern Connecticut at sponsored locations. While the basic form of each submarine sculpture will remain the same, each submarine will have a unique design applied to its surface.
CT SUB TRAIL is a special event because it is a public art project that celebrates their region’s rich economic, cultural, and military history in submarines.
